Working Capital

Exporting has special challenges when it comes to working capital. Often the U.S. Government can help us help you. At TD Banknorth we have delegated lending authority from the Export-Import Bank and a great deal of experience with the Small Business Administration under their programs to assist exporters with working capital.

Buyer Financing

  • Short-term financing: We provide financing for both importers and exporters by leveraging traditional methods such as lines of credit, bankers' acceptances and the discounting of drafts.
  • Medium-term financing: If you are a producer of capital goods, you may be required to extend credit terms to compete in the overseas market. Through programs of the U.S. Export-Import Bank or of private insurers, we can structure a financing package that will meet the needs of your foreign customers. Our medium-term financing capabilities will enable you to arrange extended financing for exports to foreign customers, and negotiate sales terms to your advantage with the assurance that financing can be secured.
