How to File a Claim

When you've been involved in an accident or there's been damage to your home or business, it can be difficult to know where to turn. Our experienced claims team will help get you back on track. So that we may provide the best service possible, please follow these guidelines:
  1. Notify your TD Banknorth Insurance Agency agent or your insurance carrier as soon as possible
  2. Notify police when theft is involved
  3. Protect property from further damages
  4. Provide your carrier with any receipts or bills for temporary repairs
  5. Provide your carrier all information related to the time, place, and circumstances of the loss
  6. Provide your carrier the names, addresses and phone numbers of any claimants and witnesses
  7. Cooperate with the insurance carrier and agent
  8. Provide proof of loss when requested
