Mr. May is the manager of the Government Banking Department, and is responsible for the department and the pricing of public finance-related loans and deposit products. Before joining TD Banknorth, Mr. May held similar positions at Citizens Bank, Fleet Securities and the former Connecticut Bank Trust Company, where he specialized in the field of municipal finance. Mr. May is a graduate of Charter Oak College, attended the New England School of Banking at Williams College and completed the Executive Management Program at Boston College. Mr. May is an associate member of the Connecticut Government Finance Officers Association, the Connecticut Council of Small Towns, the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities and Disabled American Veterans. He sits on the board of Citizenship Fund, Inc. in the Office of the Secretary of State. Mr. May was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal while serving as a medic with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam.
